Al Frusiya Horse Racing

The Equestrian Club in Riyadh (ECR) is once again hosting the annual horse races at King Abdulaziz Racetrack in Riyadh and the King Khalid Racetrack at Taif. The races take place from 3pm to 6.30pm on weekends from 21st November 2014 through to 28th March 2015. Janadriyah Festival

The National Festival for Heritage and Culture in Al-Janadriyah is a huge open-air museum displaying both the traditions of Saudi Arabia and programs for the future of the country. Here you will find music and dance, regional cuisines, handicrafts, exhibits of artifacts, awareness campaigns, technology displays and the friendly and enthusiastic population of KSA. Over a usual two week span the festival draws over five million visitors each year with the goal of celebrating the national identity. This year the festival begins on 12th February 2014. Colors of Saudi Forum

This annual exhibition at the Riyadh International Conference and Exhibition Center (RICEC) aims to promote photography as an art in tourism, discover tourism potential and support talented young Saudi photographers. The Forum also showcases the role of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) and is an attractive tourist destination for people from both inside and outside the Kingdom who are interested in photography. Souk Okaz Festival

Souk Okaz Starts August 11, 2015

This important cultural center was introduced more than 12 centuries ago but eventually declined.  The event has been successfully revived in recent years and has become very popular.  Prizes are awarded to honor outstanding poets, craftsmen, folk artists, photographers, calligraphists, and painting and sculpture artists.   Located 40km from Taif it is a popular tourist destination.

Camel Beauty Contest Festival

The festival runs from the 15th November to 7th December this year, located 320km north-east of Riyadh at Um Rgaiba by the magnificent golden sand dune of Aldhna in the Nafud desert. The camel owner participants are from KSA and Gulf countries and proudly show more than 10,000 camels over the course of the festival. There is also a large and famous souk providing food, handmade goods, souvenirs, camping equipment and much more. Exhibitions of classic cars, falcons and heritage items can also be found.
